2. What this policy covers
This policy covers the tridentlms.com website, including the demo/proposal request form, and business contacts with companies interested in Trident LMS. Processing of client companies’ staff data inside Trident LMS is carried out on behalf of the client and is governed by the Data Processing Agreement. The trident-academy.com platform has its own privacy policy.
3. Data we collect
Contact form: name, job title, company, work email, phone/WhatsApp, country, city, industry, number of staff to train, LMS requirements (current LMS, priorities, sites, preferred contract period), areas of interest, language, when you want to start, how you heard about us, your message and your consent choices.
Technical data: to protect the form from abuse we keep a pseudonymised identifier of the IP address (a keyed code, not the plain IP), the browser type and the date and time of submission. Like any web server, the hosting server also records the IP address, the page requested and the date in its technical logs.
We do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not include any in your message.
4. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answer your request, schedule the demo and prepare a proposal | Pre-contractual steps at your organisation’s request and the consent given in the form; legitimate interest in answering business enquiries |
| Manage the business relationship and the contract with your organisation | Performance of the contract; legitimate interest |
| Send occasional Trident LMS news by email | Consent (optional box), which you can withdraw at any time |
| Website security and abuse prevention (rate limits, spam detection) | Legitimate interest |
| Comply with legal obligations and defend legal claims | Legal obligation; legitimate interest |
5. Who can access the data
Your data is accessed by the WISA team responsible for sales and customer support, and by the providers who support us, only as far as necessary:
- Hostinger International Ltd. — website hosting and email service (the request is stored on the server and emailed to our mailbox);
- other IT or communication providers we may use to manage business contacts, bound by confidentiality and security obligations;
- public authorities, where required by law.
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
6. International transfers
WISA is based in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) and works mainly with organisations in Angola and other Portuguese-speaking countries. Data may therefore be transferred to and processed in the United Arab Emirates and in the countries where our providers’ servers are located (the Netherlands (European Union)). Where applicable law requires it, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as contractual data protection clauses, and limit transfers to what is necessary.
7. Retention
- Contact requests that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months after the last contact, to follow up on the request, then deleted.
- Client and contract data: for the contract term and then for the period required by applicable commercial and tax laws.
- Consent to news: until you withdraw it.
- Technical and rate-limit records: as a rule, no longer than 12 months.
8. Your rights
Under applicable law you may request access to your data, its correction, deletion or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interest, request restriction of processing and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting earlier processing). To do so, write to info@tridentlms.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply within the applicable legal deadline.
You may also complain to the competent data protection authority — for example the UAE Data Office in the United Arab Emirates, the Data Protection Agency (Agência de Protecção de Dados, APD) in Angola or, if you are in the European Union, the supervisory authority of your country.
9. Applicable laws
We process data in line with the law that applies in each case, in particular:
- United Arab Emirates: Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and its implementing regulations, or the free-zone regime if different;
- Angola: Law No. 22/11 of 17 June, the Personal Data Protection Law;
- European Union: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), where applicable, for example to people located in the EU;
- other data protection laws of the countries where our clients operate, where applicable.
10. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store requests in a private server area with no public access, limit access to the people who need the data and apply anti-abuse measures to the form. No system is completely secure; if a data breach affects you, we will inform you where the law requires it.
11. Cookies
This website does not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. See the Cookie Policy.
12. Children
The website is intended for professionals and companies and is not directed at anyone under 18.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date.
